Big Move in Tech Leadership: Mohit Joshi Leaves Infosys for Top Role at Tech Mahindra

In a significant shift in the tech industry, Mohit Joshi, who served as President at Infosys, has decided to step down. His next adventure? Taking on the role of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at Tech Mahindra, succeeding CP Gurnani.

Joshi, who has been with Infosys since 2000, will officially take over the reins at Tech Mahindra when Gurnani retires on December 19, 2023. To ensure a smooth transition, Joshi will be joining Tech Mahindra well in advance.

This leadership move is the second for Infosys, with Ravi Kumar S., the former President of Infosys Global Services Organisation, having recently left to become the global CEO of Cognizant. Sukamal Banerjee, HCLTech’s Engineering and R&D head, also stepped down recently in the industry.

Joshi's Contributions at Infosys

During his tenure at Infosys, Joshi played a key role in overseeing global financial services and healthcare business. This included managing the banking platform 'Finacle' and the AI/automation portfolio. Additionally, he led sales operations and transformation, managed large deals, and was in charge of the company’s internal CIO function and the Infosys Knowledge Institute.

Impressive Background

Before joining Infosys, Joshi had an impressive background, having worked with ABN AMRO and ANZ Grindlays in their Corporate and Investment bank. Since 2020, he has been a Non-Executive Director at Aviva Plc, where he is also a member of its Risk & Governance and Nomination committees.
